2 Cor 12:8-10

Head

Weakness and power is a theme throughout the letters to the Corinthians. Look up some of these verses and journal or discuss your reflections on the character of God. 1 Cor 1:27; 1 Cor 2:3; 1 Cor 15:43; 2 Cor 13:4; 2 Cor 13:4; 2 Cor 13:9.

Where does Paul’s contentment come from in the face of difficulty? (Cf 2 Cor 12:10)

Heart

This weekend we are honoring Pastor Bill  MacDonald in worship. How have you personally been impacted by his ministry?

How have you see the power of God at work through the “weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions or calamities” of all your leaders?

When have you been able to say “When I am weak, then I am strong”? Share a story with your group.

Hands

Where do you feel weak and need to experience the power and grace of Christ in your life right now? Be brave and share prayer requests that are pertinent to you not someone else. Pray together and ask in confidence for Christ’s power to be made perfect in your weakness.

Paul says “I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me”. What does this practically look like? How could you be more vulnerable about your weaknesses and so bring glory to Christ instead of yourself?
