WHEN & WHERE
Join us for worship services in person or online Sundays at 9:00 (classic) and 10:30 am (modern). Childcare and Sunday School for birth-pre-K available during both services. Elementary kids can worship with their families at the 9:00 am classic worship service (kids’ activity bags available). Elementary Kids’ Worship (singing, teaching, and small groups) available during the 10:30 am modern worship service. Find us at 7700 Skansie Ave, Gig Harbor, WA 98335 (we have two entrances at Skansie and Rosedale; use either one).
WHAT TO EXPECT
You probably want to know what we believe as a Christian community; find out here.
We’re pretty casual when it comes to attire, but if you feel like dressing up, that’s cool, too!
When you arrive, you’ll find guest parking in the second aisle of our big lot.
Kids: Arriving with kids? You can worship together as a family during either service. If you would like your kids to go to childcare (nursery-pre-K) at 9:00 or 10:30 am, or Elementary Kids’ Worship (during the 10:30 am worship service only), park in the big lot, go in Doors D or E, and walk to your left through the lobby and follow it around to our HeBrews Coffee Shop. You can ask a greeter to help you. Then look for the Kids’ Check-in sign at the entrance to our childcare hallway. You can check your kids in up to 15 minutes before the service begins. We have self-check-in and manned check-in options. After checking in, you will accompany your child(ren) to their age-appropriate room(s).
There is also a Family Room that looks into the Sanctuary for parents with fussy babies and a nursing mom’s station is available in the nursery; ask a greeter for directions.
Students: If you have middle school or high school kids with you, they can worship with you. Check out their respective web pages for details about separate gatherings they have on Wednesday and Sunday nights.
We care deeply about the safety and protection of our children, and we have adopted and abide by a strong Child Protection Policy, which we invite you to read.
The Guide: To have everything you need for this week’s service, download the Guide. This includes the weekly scripture, small group questions, and links to the most important ways to engage with community, worship, and service. During worship we tell you to “scan the QR code” to see the Guide on your phone. Learn how to do that.
Coffee and Treats: When you come to church Sundays, be sure to stop by the HeBrews Coffee Shop just around the corner from the lobby and get a delicious coffee drink made with Coffee Oasis beans. You can also buy whole bean (Oasis, Sumatran, or Mexican) or ground (Papua New Guinea, Sumatran, or Mexican) coffee to enjoy at home: $14.75 each; buy two and get a free 16-oz. coffee drink of your choice. $1 donut vouchers also available. HeBrews is open 8:30 am-noon Sundays and 9:00-11:00 am Wednesdays. Learn about Coffee Oasis’ ministry to homeless and at-risk youth. Free coffee and tea is also available in the Gathering Place next to HeBrews.
Chapel Hill is not a church that worships formally. Having said that, we are one church community with two slightly different stylistic expressions. At our 9:00 am classic service, you’ll probably encounter slightly more traditional music. It might feel a little more formal, but not too much. Our 10:30 am modern service includes music led by a praise band and has a lively feel. Both services are about an hour long (give or take), feature the same message, and are live-streamed if you prefer to worship online.
Church is so much more than one hour on a Sunday morning. We want to walk together in our journeys toward Jesus. Check out a few opportunities to take a step deeper into a life filled with meaning, purpose, and Jesus!
