WELCOME TO CHAPEL HILL PRESCHOOL
Chapel Hill Preschool in Gig Harbor has been teaching and loving children since 1999. We offer a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered preschool environment where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow. Through play-based learning, children develop strong social and emotional skills while building early academic foundations for kindergarten readiness.
Our program includes weekly chapel, engaging classroom curriculum, dedicated STEM exploration room, music and movement, and daily opportunities for active play—including an indoor gym for inclement weather. With a locked preschool wing, and security cameras, families can feel confident in their child’s safety.
Led by highly qualified teachers with degrees and certifications in early childhood education, we are committed to helping each child grow in confidence, curiosity, and faith—preparing them for a lifetime of learning.

Our 2s classroom provides a nurturing, Christ-centered environment that supports early social and emotional development. Children are guided to practice kindness, patience, and cooperation as they learn alongside their peers. Through developmentally appropriate activities, students strengthen both fine and large motor skills while beginning to follow simple routines and 1–2 step directions. Early academic experiences include an introduction to colors, counting, and foundational learning skills, helping children build confidence as they explore God’s world in a safe and loving classroom setting.

3-Year-Old Classes
Our 3-year-old classrooms are designed to nurture the whole child—socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually—within a loving, Christ-centered environment. Children are encouraged to build friendships, practice kindness, and learn to respect one another as they grow in independence. Through both teacher-guided instruction and purposeful play, students explore new and varied materials, learn to follow direction, and begin to understand the balance between structured learning and unstructured play.
Academic experiences provide developmentally appropriate exposure to colors, numbers, and letters, with a focus on letter recognition—particularly the letters in each child’s name—as well as early pre-writing skills. Throughout the day, children are guided to work and learn cooperatively, developing gratitude, patience, and a sense of joy as they discover God’s world together.

3-Day – 3s Class Mon – Wed, 9:00 am–noon
4-Day – 3s Class Mon – Thurs, 9:00 am–noon
Our Pre-K classrooms provide a developmentally appropriate, play-based learning environment that supports kindergarten readiness while nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually—within a Christ-centered setting. Instruction is intentionally differentiated to meet each child’s individual needs as they build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Continued social and emotional growth is a central focus, as children are guided to collaborate, show empathy, and treat others with kindness and respect. Our Pre-K program utilizes the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum to introduce foundational skills essential for early reading success, along with the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to support sensorimotor development, proper pencil grasp, and the ability to draw, copy, and color. Through purposeful instruction and play, children are encouraged to discover God’s world, develop their gifts, and prepare for the next stage of their educational journey.
