Chapel Hill in Haiti

Posted by Betsy Hunt on

The first Chapel Hill Go Team to Haiti leaves late Thursday evening. We are going as ambassadors from Chapel Hill and working with our partner organization, World Relief (WR). Their mission is to "empower the local church to serve the most vulnerable."  We go to make connections and friendships with the WR staff and to encourage them in the work that they are doing with the local churches.

We will be learning a lot about the Haitian culture and people as well as seeing how WR is supporting the local churches. We want to bring back a new narrative of Haiti through stories and experiences.

To learn more about the background of this Go team, please click HERE to read a blog from Missions Director, Julie Hawkins.

We are all excited to represent Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church to the people of Haiti and to see what God has in store for us.
