Does God Care About Your Job?

Does God Care About Your Job?

By Ellis White, Senior Pastor

Monday morning is when reality hits. The alarm goes off, the emails pile up, and the week begins whether you’re ready or not. For a lot of us, faith feels like something we left in the car after church on Sunday. We believe in Jesus—but when the boss is breathing down our neck, the jobsite is chaos, or the Zoom call just won’t end, it’s hard to see what God has to do with any of it.

Here’s the thing: the Bible doesn’t say faith is only for Sundays. In fact, it insists that God cares deeply about what happens in your nine-to-five, your shift work, your sales calls, your classrooms, and your job sites. Work isn’t just something you endure until the weekend. It’s part of how you reflect God, love your neighbor, and live out your calling.

That’s what we’re going to talk about at Faith at Work, a men’s event designed for real life. Whether you’re in the trades, tech, teaching, transitioning jobs, or even retired but still investing your time and energy in meaningful ways, this night is for you. We’ll eat together, hear stories from guys just like you, and I’ll bring a message about how your faith can actually show up in your Monday-through-Friday world.
