At Chapel Hill, we believe God owns everything, and we are simply stewards of what He has entrusted to us. That means we take great care with every dollar given—because it is ultimately for his Kingdom work.

How We Steward Well

Every year, our Session prayerfully approves an annual budget designed to maximize ministry impact and reflect our shared priorities. This budget includes setting aside nearly 25% of your giving toward missions and our Beyond These Walls program. The remainder of our funds are deployed toward local ministry, where each department operates within its specific budget, ensuring resources are used wisely and with integrity.

Looking Back: FY25 Highlights

Our fiscal year ended on June 30, 2025, and there is much to be thankful for:

It is very normal for churches to see a decline in giving during the year following a senior pastor transition and oftentimes this decrease can be 15–25%. At Chapel Hill, our decline in giving last fiscal year was just 3%. We are deeply grateful for your faithfulness.
In line with the decline in giving, we adjusted our spending and finished the year with a small surplus.
To align with current trends, the FY26 budget was reduced by 5%—a difficult but necessary step to steward resources well.
We celebrated an 8% increase in first-time givers compared to the previous year.
Attendance is beginning to rebound, and we are prayerful that giving will follow.
