Elder

Michael Gordon
Greetings, I’m Michael Gordon and I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Caireen, for 33 years, and we are grateful parents to two adult daughters. Alanna and her husband JB have blessed us with two grandchildren, Ronan (3) and Cúan (8 weeks), and our daughter Kristin and her husband Darien have a daughter, Sloane (7 months). I have gladly assumed a new name…Granda!
Professionally, I serve as Senior Vice President and Commercial Payments Manager for a locally owned community bank. Over the past three decades in banking, I’ve also had the privilege of serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including The Coffee Oasis today. I am passionate about community development, especially in the areas of affordable housing and youth outreach.
My faith journey was affirmed in 2004, when I came to know Christ and was baptized. Since 2014, we’ve been attending Chapel Hill—both virtually and in person since moving to Gig Harbor in 2019—and have been a member for the past four years. I currently serve in our Middle School Ministry (MSM), starting my 3rd year in the fall where I love walking alongside students as they grow in their faith.
I’m humbled by the opportunity to be considered for Session. I desire to serve with wisdom, grace, and a heart shaped by Christ’s love for his Church.
