Brad Scandrett - Gig Harbor (young life)

Brad is husband to Summer and father to Canyon, Sage, and Haven. He has been in full-time ministry with kids since 2000, and is privileged to be the Gig Harbor/Peninsula Young Life Area Director. Young Life is working to reach every kid in the Gig Harbor/Peninsula Area with the saving grace and love of Jesus Christ. The Scandrett family has been blessed to be a part of the Chapel Hill Family and Brad & Summer have been members since 2007. They are truly thankful for Chapel Hill's partnership with Young Life, helping them to reach every kid with the Gospel.

Young Life starts with adults who are concerned enough about kids, going to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. Brad currently has the privilege of leading and serving with 120 adult and student leaders who are working hard logging many hours with kids... where they are, as they are. Young Life is actively involved in the area served by Peninsula School district, with Club and Campaigners for students at Gig Harbor and Peninsula High Schools and Kopachuck, Goodman, Key Peninsula and Harbor Ridge Middle Schools. Gig Harbor/Peninsula Young Life has also started two new ministries here in the area; YoungLives and Capernaum. YoungLives is a ministry to teen moms and Capernaum is a ministry to kids with special needs.

Doug & Debbie Burleigh - Russia & CIS Countries

cisSince 1995, Doug and Debbie Burleigh have worked with core groups of young disciples in 6 cities in RussiaUkraineArmeniaKazakhstan, and Azerbaijan to raise up the next generation of followers of Jesus Christ. They lead a disciple-making ministry that seeks to raise up young leadership from the next generation for Christ in each of these countries. These young believers are involved in their communities with ministering to orphans, the elderly, the homeless, and to the business and political leadership of their cities. They seek to serve others in the manner Jesus and his disciples did. The cores also sponsor three day "Jesus Conferences" in all 12 nations of the former Soviet Union. Under the teaching of Doug, young leaders in these countries gather to consider the claims of Jesus of Nazareth.

Doug also works with small groups in the parliaments of Russian, Ukrainian and Georgian encouraging them to consider the teachings of Jesus. Many from these groups regularly attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. and relationally connect with other Parliament groups from around the world.

wycliffeLarry and Andrea are serving in Eurasia translating the Bible into tribal languages that have never had the scriptures in their native tongue. Due to nearly 340 million people not having the Bible in their language, Wycliffe’s vision is to see the Bible accessible to all people in the language they understand best.
