Women

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor… Isaiah 61:1-2a

Our mission is, "To mature women in Christ through authentic community.” We do this by connecting, nurturing and discipling women in their various life stages and spiritual pathways.

Rooted in the living and written Word, we influence the way women see and respond to Jesus in an environment where they can realize spiritual maturity and fellowship, develop their leadership skills and minister in the local church, their community and the world. Dedicated women are making a significant difference in our world by their commitment to devote their time, talents and resources to further the Kingdom of God. Won't you join us in the adventure?

Women's Book club discussion of the broken way, with pastor megan

Still looking for a LifeGroup but not sure where to start? Let us get to know you and connect you. Ladies are invited to join Pastor Megan for a one-time discussion of Ann Voscamp's  The Broken Way. Thursday, April 13 at 4:30pm at Cutter’s Point by Fred Meyer.

An excerpt:  What if brokenness is the path into the abundant life?  This one’s for the lovers and the sufferers.  This one’s for those whose hopes and dreams and love grew so large it broke their willing hearts.  This one’s for the busted ones who are ready to bust free, the ones ready to break molds, break chains, break measuring sticks, and break all this bad brokenness with good brokenness. You could be one of the Beloved who is broken—and still lets yourself be loved.  You could be one of them, one who believes freedom can be found not only beyond the fear and pain — but actually within it.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

Every other Thursday from 9:30-11:30am (Sept-May)

MOPS is designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. The mission of our MOPS group (and MOPS International) is to provide moms with an opportunity to gather with other moms who are in the same stage of life, walk alongside each other, support each other and grow together as women. MOPS groups meet in churches throughout the United States, Canada and in 19 other countries. The women who participate are of many ages and backgrounds, but share the same desire... to be the best mothers they can be.

 Women's Book Club

Women's Book Club meets the last Friday of each month from 10am to Noon.  Join other women for lively discussions on a wide variety of topics suggested by our members.  We rotate meeting at members' homes in Gig Harbor and Port Orchard.  Contact Sherry Dougherty to join us and for updates on books and schedule changes via email.

Women's Retreat

For the first time, the women’s retreat is being held in Gig Harbor at Chapel Hill! Our hope for the retreat would be that every woman who walks through the door connects more deeply to God and to the community of Chapel Hill.  All women are invited to participate and learn from our speaker, Debbie Burleigh, about growing in prayer. This is a great opportunity to learn from one another, grow closer to Jesus and spend intentional time with your sisters in Christ.

Registration required please - no walk-ins.
