Cambodia Team Report & Celebration
It’s been a week since our team arrived back from Cambodia. We are all back into the swing of life, school, work. Although I’ll be the first to admit that I still yearn for a nap around 1:00 each afternoon. And I’ll admit that I spend a lot of time scrolling through the pictures, my heart full after walking alongside Cambodian Hope Organization. We all came back eager to share stories of the Lord at work in us, through us, and through our Khmer friends. I know that you are eager to hear them!

Just to give you an idea of the kinds of stories you’ll hear, read Dana Griswold’s report on the First Responder Training. The whole team got involved in the accident simulation at the end of the week. (Look at Go Team member Craig Baldwin below!)
I’m so proud! From not knowing what a pulse was to performing traction and stabilization on a femur fracture – the military, traffic and major crimes policemen of Poipet, Cambodia who participated in First Responder training were amazing!
I have never taught a class that was more attentive or learned faster than the gentlemen I had the privilege of training. When I asked them to share, “Why are you here?” I was inundated with a cacophony of Khmer…”I felt helpless, when I responded to the accident scene, all I could do was keep the traffic from running over the victims and then watch them die.” They knew what they learned and remembered was a matter of life and death. So they learned and they remembered!
Our Go Team to Poipet consisted of medical, lay pastor training, trauma counseling for children and marriage counseling for adults.
