Play the Long Game | Gig Harbor | Chapel Hill Online
Playing the long game is an investment term… but not just financially. In this sermon, Pastor Ellis White helps us to shift our focus on how we look at our lives in view of the bigger picture. Where are you investing your time, and what does that say about your priorities?
1. Of all the people you know, who has stuck at their faith the longest? What has it looked like for them to invest in the long game, spiritually-speaking?
2. Read about the dream that Daniel interpreted in Daniel 2. What was the dream and how did Daniel interpret it?
3. Assess how you invest your time. How much time do you invest in God’s kingdom and how much do you invest in the kingdoms of this earth? You might grab your phone and take a look at what your app usage says about where you are investing, or look on your calendar at a typical week and consider how many minutes go towards exalting Jesus, elevating others and launching disciple-makers. Prayerfully consider what changes you need to make to bring your life into alignment with your values.
