Why does God end the Ten Commandments with coveting? It almost feels like an afterthought. But the more you look at it, the more you realize it might be the most important one of all. Because every other commandment addresses what we do. This one addresses what we want.

In this closing message of the Finding Your Way series, we explore what the tenth commandment reveals about desire, and what God actually wants to do with ours.

1. Why coveting sits underneath all the other commandments: before someone steals, they desire something that isn’t theirs; before someone commits adultery, they desire someone who isn’t their spouse; the heart comes before the action
2. What the Hebrew word for covet actually means, and why the problem has never been desire itself — God filled creation with things designed to be desired and enjoyed
3. Two wrong responses to disordered desire: stoicism (suppress everything) and hedonism (fulfill everything) — and why neither works
4. What it looks like to interrogate your desires instead of just following them: asking “what do I really want?” all the way down until you find what your heart is actually searching for
5. Why the Christian life isn’t primarily about learning to say no — it’s about learning to say a bigger yes, as Jesus slowly reorders what we love

If you’ve ever felt stuck in comparison, or exhausted by wanting more, this one is for you.
