Sending leaders around the world

Jesus calls each of us, “Follow me!” Chapel Hill helps support believers around the world each with a unique mission. To love the abused or abandoned. To listen. To teach. To offer grace, hope and purpose in Christ. As a global church family, we pray for each other and spur one another on.

MIKE & KATIE live with their young kids and a puppy in Southeast Asia. He leads a K-12 international Christian school, and she showers blessings through art, teaching and mentoring. Meet Mike & Katie.

ABHISHEK AND ANGIE GIER, call Delhi, India home. It’s a city with rampant abuse against women. But the Critical Care Center has become a model for restoring young girls out of sex slavery. They are creative catalysts, bringing work, wholeness and dignity to the most vulnerable.

BRENDAN & ERIN CONNALLY serve the Quechua people of the Cusco area in Peru through dental outreaches, oral Bible teaching and SIM team leadership. Alongside Quechua churches and leaders, they reach remote communities with the message of Christ.

LARRY & ANDREA are people of peace living in North Africa. They translate scripture, making it accessible in Muslim cultures, so that people hear God’s redemption story and share it. They believe crossing barriers of fear and difference is something we all can try to do. Meet Larry.

CAROL ERICKSON has a contagious joy for life and love of children. In Kenya, teen pregnancies are high and can ostracize a girl just as her life is beginning. Under Carol’s leadership, Imara provides a family of faith and support so young moms can achieve their full potential in the world.

DOUG BURLEIGH has led over sixty-five “Jesus Conferences” for young people in all fifteen nations of the former Soviet Union and every region of Russia. He invites civil servants to Jesus-centered living through The Fellowship in Washington D.C. He and Debbie live in Virginia.

MARY JEAN KOPP and her late husband Peter founded New Life Homes in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland in southern Africa) determined to care for children orphaned or abandoned due to HIV/AIDS. The 195-acre farm is home for many young people—a place to belong, to learn and to thrive.
