Sunday: VBS Celebration + Cereal Drive
By Paul Hargreaves
Senior Director of Family Ministries
We just wrapped up an incredible week of Summer Blast Vacation Bible School! Our theme was True North: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World, and what a wild and wonderful adventure it was!
All week long, we pretended we were exploring Alaska with our kids—surrounded by shimmering glaciers, lively rivers, and the breathtaking Northern Lights over snow-capped mountains. Each day was packed with singing, dancing, games, and most importantly, learning how to keep our eyes on Jesus—our True North—no matter what life throws our way.
Join us this Sunday at 10:00 am for a special celebration during our worship service! The kids will be on stage sharing some of the fun songs and motions they learned, and we’ll show a video recap of the week. It’s a joyful, hope-filled glimpse into what God is doing in the hearts of the next generation—you won’t want to miss it!

Let’s Reach Our Cereal Goal Tomorrow
As part of our VBS outreach, families brought in boxes of cold cereal for our local partner, the FISH Food Bank, to deliver to families in our community. Our goal is 500 boxes—and we’re so close to our goal, with 408 donated so far!
Let’s rally as a church family and bring in at least 92 more boxes this Sunday. Please drop your cereal donations in the FISH donation station around the corner from the lobby when you head to the HeBrews Coffee Shop. Let’s show Gig Harbor how Chapel Hill cares for families in need.
Kids’ Worship Resumes August 3
Our weekly Kids’ Worship for K–5th graders returns Sunday, August 3 at 10:00 am, and we’d love your help! Whether you can serve weekly, monthly, or occasionally, we have easy and fun leadership roles for adults who love kids and want to make a difference. Learn more and sign up here.
Thanks again, Chapel Hill, for praying, giving, and showing up for our kids. We’re so grateful for what God is doing in and through this church—and we can’t wait to see you Sunday!
