Kids Ministry Is Moving
Elementary Kids Ministry has long been one of the reasons families say they fell in love with Chapel Hill—and beginning Sunday, April 12 (the Sunday after Easter), several updates will help place our kids ministry even more centrally in the life of the church. These changes will bring our children’s spaces together near the HeBrews Coffee Shop check-in area, making Sunday mornings simpler for families and helping kids feel right at the center of our church community.
New Sunday Morning Locations (Beginning April 12)
- Nursery and Pre-K: remain in their current classrooms
- Kindergarten–3rd Grade: Toone Gathering Place
- 4th–5th Grade: The Arena (first floor, where high school and middle school students meet on Tuesday and Wednesday nights)
- 6th Grade: Preteen Worship returns and will join 4th–5th graders in the Arena
- Check-in: Continues to be in HeBrews Coffee Shop area (all kids spaces nearby)
- Be sure to have your kiddos use the restroom before checking them into the Gathering Place.
- Programming for all elementary grades and preteens begins right at 10:00 am with small group activities your kids won’t want to miss!
Additional Updates
- Complimentary coffee will move to the lobby to create a more welcoming gathering space.
- The Prayer Chapel will be available for conversation and connection after services.
