Support Groups
Chapel Hill offers several support and care ministries designed to walk with you through the challenges, uncertainties, and transitions of life. Each group provides a welcoming place to seek hope, encouragement, and practical tools rooted in the compassion of Jesus.
Braver, Stronger, Smarter is an eight-week class for moms and their daughters ages 8–12 that equips families to face fear and anxiety together with Jesus. Through simple practices and shared conversations, girls learn to fight the “Worry Monster” and embrace who God says they are. The class meets Sundays, January 25–March 15, from noon to 1:30 pm in the third-floor Conference Room; registration is available online, and questions may be directed to Pam Gatto.
The Peaceful Caregiver Support Group offers practical help and biblical encouragement for those caring for a loved one. This group creates space for caregivers to tend to their own well-being while continuing to care for others, providing encouragement, shared understanding, and hope during a demanding season of life. The group meets Thursdays, January 15–March 5, from 1:00–3:00 pm in the Family Room near HeBrews Café and the Outreach Wall. A $14 fee covers the accompanying book; registration is available online.
Our long-standing Cancer Care Support Group for women meets weekly year-round (except December and August) and offers a safe place to share, process, and be encouraged by others who understand the journey of cancer. The group meets Thursdays from 3:30–5:00 pm in the Fireside Room at Door A. No childcare is available.
Chapel Hill also provides lay counseling for individuals, married couples, and engaged couples preparing for marriage. Sessions are confidential and focused on non-clinical concerns such as grief, fear, anxiety, marital struggles, life wounds, spiritual questions, and parenting challenges. Lay counselors offer prayer, support, biblical insight, researched-informed practices, and referrals to additional resources when helpful. To inquire or schedule a session, contact the Counseling Office at 253.853.0291.
At this time, GriefShare is on hold. Additional seasonal support groups may be added throughout the year.
