DC Team Update
The DC Dream Team started the day with a prayer breakfast at the Southeast White House, a faith-based meal where city-minded people can connect, anyone from congressmen to homeless men. I got to learn about DC and the people in it from local leaders while eating bacon. Afterwards, we were able to help lead a day camp at the Southeast White House. When lunch was over, both the team and the campers went roller-skating. It was a blast! Later that evening we went to the 859 House for dinner, a place where Ricky Allen Bolden promotes reconciliation in the community. We were able to talk a lot about building bridges across racial and economic gaps. It was overall an awesome day.
