Lay Counselor

DESCRIPTION
Provides non-clinical, brief counseling support/interventions to individuals 18 and older in the local community.

• Has attended the lay counseling training class and is willing to see at least one client and attends supervision meetings
TIME COMMITMENT
5 hours a week

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet 1:1 in a desired frequency with those who are needing help with a personal matter.  
  • Meets with a supervisor weekly
  • Continues in various training opportunities.
