Lay Counseling group supervisor

DESCRIPTION
Oversee and support Lay Counselors, and provide non-clinical, brief counseling support/interventions to individuals 18 and older in the local community.

• Times Vary
• Has attended the lay counseling training class and is willing to see at least one client and attends supervision meetings. Has also been counseling in the ministry for at least 2 years as a lay counselor or has vocational experience as a counselor.
TIME COMMITMENT
6 hours a week

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides encouragement and accountability to counselors and provides training and insight to the group.  
  • Ensures program credibility and lessening liabilities if cases are outside the scope of ability.
