women’s LIFEGROUP leader or apprentice

TEAM PURPOSE:

To support the discipleship of adult women in the context of small groups, primarily through Biblical reflection in the context of relationship.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Bible Study (can be video or book study)
  • Train up another leader to lead
  • Connect group members to additional resources e.g. care
  • Delegate serve/social leadership to group member
  • Administrate group meetings

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Chapel Hill member; Spiritually and emotionally mature; Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution; Caring, compassionate; Administratively organized; Humble and willing to learn; General understanding of Bible basics and desire to grow and learn more (does NOT need to have formal training, or be a “teacher”)

TIME COMMITMENT

Most LifeGroups meet weekly or bi-monthly for a meeting of 1.5hours. Location is up to you (could be at church or in a home or local restaurant). Prep time and shepherding time between meetings will vary but will average 1 hour per week. Most LifeGroups meet for three studies with breaks in between, and a longer break over the summer. On average you will be meeting as a group 24-30 weeks per year.
