marriage Lay Counselor

TEAM PURPOSE:

Marriage lay counseling provides a safe space for couples to work through conflicts, learn helpful relational skills, and find hope and help for their marriage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide lay counseling to hurting couples.
• Work through How We Love and other resources.
• Work together as a couple and share part of your story.
• Provide conflict resolution skills and Love Cycle skills.

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for mature followers of Jesus who have weathered storms and found helpful skills in their marriage to mentor and encourage other marriages.

TIME COMMITMENT

8-month lay counseling training, weekly lay counseling sessions with couple for 10-12 weeks
