Global outreach Team leaders

TEAM PURPOSE:

We lead small travel teams to meet Chapel Hill’s global partners face-to-face, see God’s love is changing lives around the world, encourage each other in following Jesus, grow in our gifts and friendships, and return home with a renewed sense of purpose.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Invite people to the team and share the ministry vision
  • Team point of contact before, during and after travel
  • Partner with outreach staff to facilitate trainings
  • Delegate responsibilities and coordinates logistics
  • Provide financial accountability for all expenses

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Actively growing in their relationship with Jesus and has a strong prayer life and passion for the partnership connection they are leading. Leads with humility and by example, following direction from home and host staff. Relates well to people and is experienced in relational dynamics. Has flexibility and patience. Is well organized and able to fulfill all logistical requirements. Understands and engages in the responsibility of caring for the well-being of the team.

TIME COMMITMENT

Trips range from 3-12 days. Interviews can begin in the fall. Missions-launch workshop for all teams and interested participants in December. Teams average six team preparation meetings in the weeks leading up to travel. Debrief and story-sharing gathering after returning home.
