BENEVOLENCE TEAM MEMBER

TEAM PURPOSE:

To partner with people in need (physical, emotion, relational, and spiritual) within our community in order to demonstrate the compassionate heart of our Lord Jesus by providing financial or resource assistance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Speak with callers to assess their needs
• Provide financial assistance if warranted
• Provide referrals to church and community resources
• Invite community members into fellowship at Chapel Hill
• Pray with them

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Willingness to lend an ear to people that are struggling with finances. Comfortable on the phone. Some confidence with technology (computer programs-excel, our database, texting, etc.). Must keep excellent records and keep personal information confidential.

TIME COMMITMENT

We typically serve in a rotation. It is four days in a row (one week) every 5 or 6 weeks. It can be worked from home or the office. The day usually is from about 9:30 to 2:30 but can be flexed. There is an option for sharing weeks as needed and flexibility for scheduling in the rotation.
