Faith & Finances Winter 2026
Every week on Wednesday until Apr 1, 2026 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Faith & Finances is a friendly, down-to-earth financial education class designed to help people take control of their money and find hope for the future—no matter where they are starting from. This class is especially helpful for those who are just beginning to learn how to manage money, don’t have a lot of extra to spare, want to overcome financial obstacles, or hope to save more and pay down debt.
Participants will learn simple, practical tools for everyday life, including how to create a workable budget, save a little at a time, deal with debt, and plan for what’s ahead. Along the way, the class explores what the Bible says about money and God’s care for us. Faith & Finances is a safe, welcoming place to share, learn, and grow together.
Class materials and snacks are provided, and childcare is available. There is also a small financial incentive for each week a participant attends with a completed assignment.
Faith & Finances meets Wednesdays from 6:30–8:00 pm, starting January 28 and running through April 1, in the Prayer Chapel near the Sanctuary.
For more information or to sign up, contact the Chapel Hill Church Deacons Office at 253-853-0224.
Here are some testimonies from prior class participants:
"Faith & Finances was a really good opportunity for me to take when things were tought, expecially when it was a very open environment and a welcoming place. This is something we all need to learn, no matter what age. Thankfully, Chapel Hill was there to help me!"
"Faith & Finances meant learning that asking for or accepting help, doesn't mean I can't survive on my own. As someone who has been self-reliant for most my life, it was difficult to accept. But the care and support I received while in this class was above and beyond what I expected."
"The instructors, mentors and fellow students really made the experience amazing. Being able to talk with people who are in, or have been in similar situations and bounce ideas off each other was one of the best parts of the class. I am still using the budgeting forms we were given in class."
"The best thing I did was to go into the class with an open mind and heart to change. As well as being honest about spending habits and ways I could improve mine and my family's lives. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the class, for all the love and prayers that were sent our way."
