Help Local Kids Start School with Confidence!

This summer, Chapel Hill Church is partnering with the Peninsula School District and local nonprofits to equip students in need—from Pre-K through 12th grade—for a strong start to the new school year. We’ve committed to providing 50 pairs of shoes and clothing sets tailored to specific children in our community. These simple gifts help kids walk into school with confidence and dignity.

We still have a few students who need sponsors! When you sign up, you’ll receive an email within a few days with your student’s information, including clothing sizes, favorite colors, and specific needs. Shopping lists are personalized for each child, so they get exactly what they need.

Already signed up?

Once you’ve shopped for your student, please return your items:

✅ Place them in a bag, labeled with your assigned student number (example: 351A)

✅ Include your student’s data sheet

✅ Bring your items to the Wood Wall on one of these Sundays:

• July 20 (before or after church)
• July 27 (before or after church)
• August 3 (before or after church)

If you can’t connect with us on one of those dates, email Chandra Hallam at challam@chapelhillpc.org to arrange another drop-off time.

Please note: This is not an open clothing drive. We are only collecting pre-assigned items from those who signed up in advance. If you missed the signup but still want to help, please reach out to Chandra at the email address above.
