tacoma rescue mission dinners

TEAM PURPOSE:

We serve with our Local Outreach Partner Tacoma Rescue Mission to feed the hungry and show dignity and love to those who are struggling with housing insecurity. We equip our church family to live on mission in our community.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit a team to serve together on rotation at the mission
• Prepare and serve a monthly meal for 200+ shelter guests
• Pray for the Tacoma Rescue Mission
• Write notes of encouragement to shelter guests
• Bake home-made cookies to accompany our monthly meals

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Mercy and compassion. Basic food preparation. Joyful hands-on service.

TIME COMMITMENT

Chapel Hill serves a meal monthly every fourth Saturday. Volunteers can serve on rotation three Saturday per year for 4 hours. Note writers and cookie-bakers can serve monthly with flexible timing.
