worship team

TEAM PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Chapel Hill worship team is to lead the congregation in musical worship. A part of our discipleship process is to worship God authentically, and this ministry serves as an accessible way to do so.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participation in Sunday morning services.

Rehearsals on Sunday mornings and Thursday nights.

Musical preparation in anticipation of services.

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

In order to join the worship team, one needs certain attributes relating to musicality, spirituality, and practicality.
Musicality – Ability to sing or play an instrument, willingness to use in-ear monitors, commitment to listening and practicing music ahead of time.
Spirituality – A heart of service, a willingness to be corrected, and the wanting to further one’s relationship with Jesus.
Practicality – Flexibility, communication, and collaboration.

TIME COMMITMENT

Team members have flexibility in how often they want to serve, but the average volunteer serves every 2-6 weeks. On weeks a volunteer serves (otherwise known as on-weeks), there are two expected serve times:
Thursday Night and Sunday Morning Rehearsals + Sunday Service from 8-11:30. There are also opportunities for special services and events outside of Sundays (on rare occasion.)
