TEAM PURPOSE:

The Vision of Chapel Hill Church (CHC) Security Ministry is to bring glory to God and enhance the ministry of Chapel Hill Church.  Ensuring that all staff, volunteers, attendees, and properties are protected providing a worship environment free from hazards and unsafe conditions or threats.
The Mission of the CHC Security Ministry is to identify, recruit and train persons of faith who desire to be the defenders of God’s people and CHC property.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a church security volunteer; representative of CHC.
• Assess people & situations to take appropriate action.
• Receive direction from the Security Team Leader.
• Get assistance rather than handling a situation on your own.
• Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Willingness to serve with hospitality and protect the church. Law enforcement, emergency medical, or security experience a plus, although not required.

TIME COMMITMENT

Monthly. Commit to serve one Sunday service(s) per month (assigned team); approximately 3.5 hours once a month.  In addition, security ministry volunteers are encouraged to help with special events, Christmas Eve/Easter services and outside events.
