Comfort Quilters
Every month on the second Thursday of the month and the fourth Thursday of the month from 9:00a to 1:30p
The Comfort Quilters is a community of women who make beautiful quilts by hand for people who need comfort, whether grieving a loved one, enduring a crisis, or staying at a shelter. Their beautiful quilts are donated to Cancer Care, the Visitation Team, Fostering Hope, WCCW Baby Unit, SOAR, Las Amigas, Habitat for Humanity, Backup Buddies, and others. They give away more than 100 quilts per year.
Participants in this ministry range from novice to highly accomplished quilters. If you have an interest in quilting, a desire to be creative, basic machine sewing skill, and a willingness to learn, the Comfort Quilters want you to invite you to be a part of the group. And if you are a master of the art of quilting, the Quilters want to learn from you.
The Comfort Quilters find real fellowship working together and encouraging one another to use whatever talents God has given us to serve others. In fact, the Comfort Quilters craft friendship as well as quilts. And it's fun!
If you want to gift a quilt or learn to make them, Contact Cara Taylor to connect with the group.
The Comfort Quilters Ministry meets the second and fourth Thursdays of the month in Room 114/114A & 118/118A on the first floor.
