TEAM PURPOSE:
We desire to help families and students in our local school district thrive. We partner with local community groups in an annual Back to School event, helping meet needs of students to prepare for the school year, sometimes with clothing, shoes or other needed supplies. We equip our church family to live on mission, loving and caring for students and families who need support in the school district.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate Chapel Hill drive for the Back-to-School event
- Collaborate with community groups
- Attend the Back-to-School event for supply distribution
- Create ways to encourage and pray for families in PSD
- Communicate with Chapel Hill volunteers
SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Coordination, administration, encouragement. Good communication skills. Some computer skills are helpful such as spreadsheets and Signup Genius.
TIME COMMITMENT
The bulk of this team’s work happens in June, July and August. Meeting times are about weekly during these months but flexible and email communications through the season. Optional other opportunities mid-year.
