KIDCO caregiver

TEAM PURPOSE:

Provide care for children of our MomCo participants, enabling the mothers to fully engage in the MomCo program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet mothers/ note instructions for each child.
• Play with children/comfort babies.
• Share faith.
• Keep care areas clean.
• Watch for safety concerns.

SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS

Our caregivers are warm and friendly, able to respect the mother’s instructions for each young child. We train and support every volunteer, embracing them at any skill level. Volunteers may request to work with a particular age group or may request to be on the stroller team (roll around the halls with the fussy ones!)

TIME COMMITMENT

Our core team comes in two Thursday mornings per month during the school year. The program runs from 9:15am to 11:30am. Some volunteers prefer to be on the sub list, so they may be called in to cover for vacations or illnesses. Even being available to help out once or twice during the year is valuable.
