co-ed LIFEGROUP leader or apprentice
TEAM PURPOSE:
To support the discipleship of adults in the context of mixed gender small groups, primarily through Biblical reflection in the context of relationship.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Bible Study (can be video or book study)
- Train up another leader to lead
- Connect group members to additional resources e.g. care
- Delegate serve/social leadership to group member
- Administrate group meetings
SPIRITUAL & PRACTICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Chapel Hill member
- Spiritually and emotionally mature
- Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution
- Caring, compassionate
- Administratively organized
- Humble and willing to learn
- General understanding of Bible basics and desire to grow and learn more (does NOT need to have formal training, or be a “teacher”)”
TIME COMMITMENT
Most LifeGroups meet weekly or bi-monthly for a meeting of 1.5hours. Location is up to you (could be at church or in a home or local restaurant). Prep time and shepherding time between meetings will vary but will average 1 hour per week. Most LifeGroups meet for three studies with breaks in between, and a longer break over the summer. On average you will be meeting as a group 24-30 weeks per year.
