ATHLETIC MINISTRIES seeks to enable individuals to attain optimal health through group exercise classes. Each of us is comprised of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional attributes. We believe that improving our physical condition can lead to corresponding improvement in each of the other areas. See below for a description and schedule of classes.
 
Our expansion into team sports adds an additional component of family and community, because we believe that the church should be the hub of every aspect of our lives, just as Christ is our spiritual center.

BALANCED FITNESS ATHLETIC CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & SCHEDULE
The benefit... fitness, fun and fellowship!
 
  • Monday Muscle Classes
    Features low impact aerobic warm ups and weight training for all ages; works especially on abs, backs, and stretching.
  • Step 'n Sculpt Classes
    Each unique class features a variety of step, Zumba, interval training, resistance weights or dynabands, and Pilates-based movement.
  • Easy Does It Classes
    A head-to-toe, gentle workout for women over 65 who are serious about improving their physical condition.
  • Senior Fitness Classes
    Designed for men and women over 55 who want to participate in low impact aerobics, strength training & flexibility. (Class #1 uses floor mats; class #2 uses chairs.)
  • Fusion
    Combines movement derived from Pilates and Yoga. This class is designed to improve posture, strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, concentration and relaxation. The non-impact exercises can be modified for most ages and fitness levels.

CHAPEL HILL SUMMER SOFTBALL
 
Enjoy softball? Want to spend time with family and friends? Chapel Hill has 3 teams for the 2011 season in the Gig Harbor Church Softball League. Remember, even if you're not a player, you can come out with the whole family to cheer on our Chapel Hill teams! The season runs weeknights and Sundays in June and July. Look at the schedule to see when and where our teams are playing. Contact Crystal at 471.3292 for further information.
