Arts and Music

Our music and fine arts department prepares inspirational music and dramatic/artistic presentations for worship. We believe God can and does deliver His message of mercy and grace in this way.

If you sing or play an instrument, or like to act or direct, please consider joining us. Get involved in the arts at Chapel Hill! For further information, please contact our Director of Worship and Fine Arts, Kathy Alvestad, at 853.0216.

Opportunities:

Chancel Choir

If you've ever considered joining the choir, now is the perfect time! Use your talents for God's work. The chancel choir rehearses every Thursday evening and plays a pivotal role in leading the congregation in worship each Sunday. Come and be part of this exciting music ministry.

Weekly rehearsals are Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm in the Choir Room. Come a little early so we may begin promptly at 6:30pm. Join in for some fantastic music, friendship, and fellowship. God is calling your name! What are you waiting for? Call today.

This is an ideal time to serve in the music ministry of Chapel Hill. Add your voice to our chancel choir or your instrument to the orchestra to proclaim God's Good News each week through our voices and instruments. Contrary to popular opinion, we have at least 25 robes that are not being used for choir and the chancel has much more room for skilled instrumentalists.

For further information and to get involved, please contact David Asplund at 853.0270.

Chancel Drama

Jesus taught using parables, and we sometimes use drama as part of our worship experience. If you are interested in acting, dancing, choreographing, or directing, please contact Kathy at 853.0216 to volunteer or obtain further information.

American Sign Language

The beauty of sign language is sometimes used to enhance a special message shared in song. If you are skilled in ASL and would be interested in serving this way or participating in a sign choir, please contact Kathy at 853.0216.

Chapel Hill invites you to join us in what has become a great adventure in artistic expression and faith-building.
