Volunteer Needs:

ONGOING VOLUNTEER NEEDS

ABUNDANCE SUNDAY—Chapel Hill collects donations of clothing, socks, travel size hygiene items, and other specified items on the first Sunday of every month. Request lists are passed out on the last Sunday of the month. Donations are left to be picked up on people’s cars in the parking lot the following Sunday. These items are then distributed to various ministries in our community and around the world.
Volunteers are needed:

  • To pass out donation wish lists and collection bags on the last Sunday of each month after each service at the Resource Center
  • To help pick up and monitor donations on the first Sunday of the month during all services

TACOMA STREET MINISTRIES
For more than 15 years Tacoma Street Ministries has cared for the homeless and working poor of Tacoma. Every Friday night this ministry brings together volunteers from various local churches to serve food, distribute blankets and clothes, and provide music, prayer and fellowship under the 705-freeway overpass.
How you can help:

  • A group from Chapel Hill serves with TSM every third Friday night. They meet in the 1st floor kitchenette at 6:30pm and return around 9:00pm.
  • Socks, hygiene items, and Bibles are always needed to pass out on Friday nights. Drop off your donations at the Missions office.
