volunteer to help with Alpha
Alpha runs on relational hospitality by individuals like you who serve in a variety of roles. We need people who will love, listen, laugh, serve, welcome, create a space, pray, or coordinate. Whether you are skilled in all or a one of these things, we need you! We will train you (January 3) and give you the tools and resources you need to walk with others as they start their faith journey! Email with any questions
WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome.
WHAT HAPPENS ON WEDNESDAYS?
A free meal - That's right, free. We'll even feed (and watch) your children, so feel free to bring them too!* Bonding over a meal is a great way to create community, so we start with food and take time to get to know one another.
A talk - The talks are designed to create, engage and inspire conversation. Alpha follows a film series of different topics each week that tackle big questions about faith and Christianity like "Is there more to life than this?" and "Who is Jesus?"
A discussion - Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
WHEN IS ALPHA HAPPENING?
Every Wednesday from January 10-March 28, 6:00-8:00 pm. (We will take the week of February 21 off for mid-winter break.) Childcare is provided and everyone is welcome. If you have any questions please contact us at:
