Administering Groups

Below are instructions for administering Groups. If you have questions, please email Web Support or contact Betsy Hunt at 253.853.0225.

LOGIN

  • Log in with UserName and Password (upper right or lower right corner).

  • The login for the Chapel Hill website is separate from the login that is used to register for an event or to make online payments. The registration/payment process is handled by an outside vendor called ServiceU. This website uses your email address as your login name. When setting up your Chapel Hill login, you may want both of your logins to be the same.


MY PROFILE

  • My Profile/My Profile/My Info: update your personal information. Scroll down to Public Profile Data and enter any information that you want displayed in the online Church Directory or to your group members. Upload a picture to display in the church directory or in groups.


MY FAMILY

  • My Profile/My Family: click on name to view what public information is displayed. Click on Edit This Profile to edit information for a family member, including what is displayed on the Public Profile.


MY GROUPS

  • My Profile/My Groups/Group Name: click on the group's name to get details about the group.

  • Click on a person's picture or name to get details about that person, including the option to send an email to that person.

  • Send a Group Email: this will go to all group members and shows your email address.

  • Comments Wall: add a comment that only the group members can view. Group members will receive an email from do-not-reply@chapelhillpc.org stating that there is a new group comment.


ADMINISTER GROUP

  • My Groups/Group Name/Administer This Group: complete fields that describe the group (several have pull-down menus and a calendar for the date fields). Leave fields blank if they don't apply to your group.

  • Description: this will display on the Connect/Groups if an open group.

  • Group Details/Updates: displays to group members only. Can be used for group/event updates.

  • Group Image: upload picture.

  • Members' Photos: Yes or No to display in group. If NO, a list of group names will display.

  • Requires Approval to Join: if YES, group leader(s) need to approve the request. If NO, anyone can join the group.

  • Open or Closed: if this group has space available for new members, choose OPEN. If Open, this group will display on the Connect/Groups section.

  • Active: Yes or No.


ADMINISTER GROUP MEMBERS

  • My Groups/Group Name/Administer This Group/Administer This Group's Members.

  • Deactivate or Activate: change status of a group member.

  • Set as Leader: give permission for others to be a Group Leader.

  • Activate: if a person requests to be part of your group, you will receive an email, and then you need to Activate that person.

  • To add names to a group, contact Betsy Hunt.


CONNECT

  • Connect/Church Directory or Volunteer or Our Groups: view ways people can get connected.
