Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Day, at 3pm for 10 minutes, the United Kingdom comes to a halt for an annual moment of reflection—the Queen’s Speech. In the midst of all of the Christmas festivities, it is a chance to pause and listen as the Queen reflects upon the year that has been and the meaning of Christmas. (If you want to watch it, just type in “Queen’s Christmas Message 2014” on Google). But, honestly, I’d rather you did something else…

What would it look like if you took the time you might normally spend reading this blog post to sit and reflect, amidst all the festivities, on the reason for it all? The message of Christmas is that God is with us in the person of Jesus, and through his presence he is healing, restoring, redeeming and saving. So, I invite you to take two minutes and ask yourself this question: What difference has it made in my life this year that God has been with me?

I would love to see you join us this Sunday at 9 or 10.47 as we conclude our series What Do You Want For Christmas? by considering what it was that the wise men wanted, and what we in turn want for Christmas.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas.
