Positive Christian Singles Tuesdays, 7-8:30pm in the Memorial ChapelTuesday nights, from 7:00-8:30pm, you will find 70 or more people gathered, laughing and introducing themselves to each other. An easy discussion question opens the door to introducing new people—there are always new people joining. Then settle in to discuss the topic for the evening. We might talk about how to forgive the past, how to date wisely, or how to know God through Jesus Christ. The conversation is lively and the fellowship is authentic. The meeting closes with prayer, bringing needs and hopes before the Lord. Our name says it all. - We are positive—we know there is a lot of joy in life. Some of us are active in sports. We lead busy professional and personal lives. The prevailing attitude in our large group is hopefulness. We are looking for a strong, positive future for ourselves. We plan activities that help make that future a reality.
- We are Christian—every person is welcomed. Although our meetings are never narrowly religious, we talk about Jesus. We pray together. None of us is perfect, but we are growing in our faith. Together we are discovering what it means to be single and Christian.
- We are single—some of us have never married, some have lost a spouse to death, but most of us are divorced. Some are recently separated. Many of us are parents, which is why childcare is available. We are positive, but we know about tears, anger and fear. No matter what set of circumstances qualifies you to belong to this group, you are not alone. We support each others' laughter and honor each others' pain. Bring a friend if you want one for support, but join us this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
