Missions
Chapel Hill sees short-term mission trips as a crucial part of developing a mission-minded congregation. We call our teams GO (Global Outreach) Teams and take Matthew 28:19-20 as our theme. In these verses God tells us to go and to teach, and He says that He will be with us. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and I am with you always, even to the end of the age." - Stories of Reconciliation through the lens of Sound & Sand - Tuesday, March 22 @ 6:30pm, Gathering Place
Salim Munayer, founder of Musalaha Reconciliation Ministries in the Holy Land, is coming to Chapel Hill. Salim is a dynamic, articulate, and compassionate speaker who engages American audiences in thoughtful reflection on reconciliation in the Holy Land. The evening will be highly interactive and family-friendly, with nursery care for the little ones and age appropriate activities for school age children. There will be music, delicious snacks, and storytellers. Together we will enjoy personal stories from SSE participants, reflect on what it means to be part of Sound & Sand, as well as hear from Salim. Guests will surely leave more hope-filled and prayerful about Christ's church in the Holy Land. - American Young Adults would love to share personally with your LifeGroup.
