Our PartnersChapel Hill Partners are organizations with member involvement that provide a transformative opportunity as they help to equip, train and educate leadership.
Agros, Guatemala Agros International is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty for rural families in Central America and Mexico by enabling landless communities to achieve land ownership and economic stability. Having learned that the root causes of poverty extend across communities and are passed down from generation to generation, the Agros development model is holistic, sustainable, and focused on long term results. This commitment to the long-term sustainability of a whole community serves to break the cycle of poverty in all its forms. In 2009, Chapel Hill, along with two other partners, began a 5-year commitment to Journey With a Village, specifically the village of Villa Hortencia 1. If you are interested in joining a GO Team to Guatemala, contact Dave and Barb Martin at 253.858.7883. Musalaha, Salim and Kay Munayer, Israel/West Bank Musalaha seeks to facilitate reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians as it was demonstrated in the life and teaching of Jesus. Salim and Kay work to be an encouragement and advocate of reconciliation, first among Palestinian and Israeli believers, and then beyond their respective communities. Chapel Hill is joining with Musalaha Ministries in a partnership that is focused on equipping young adults to be agents of reconciliation. Ultimately our hope is to see followers of Christ involved in breaking down walls between Christians in the land of Jesus. New Life Homes/African Leadership Partners, Peter and Mary Jean Kopp, Rob & Jennifer Taylor, Swaziland Peter and Mary Jean are working to train leaders for the church in Southern Africa and coordinating an orphan home ministry called New Life Homes in Swaziland, Southern Africa. They provide a loving and stable home in a Christian environment for children who are orphaned or abandoned due to the HIV/AIDS crisis. This initiative seeks to place children who have no other alternative for care in safe, caring homes. Located on a 195-acre farm in Swaziland, the homes house families of 8-10 children and their houseparents. These families are self-sustaining and develop healthy, well-rounded children who will be capable of contributing positively to their communities. There are currently four families thriving under this program. In early 2012, Chapel Hill members Rob & Jennifer Taylor and family will join the Kopps in their ministry at New Life homes.
